Covid-19 has been very challenging, so the way we practice has changed. Here are some of the systems we have introduced.
We will need to assess your appointment requirements and ask you some questions over the phone before you attend. These will include: - Do you have, or possibly have Covid-19 or are you waiting for a test result? - Do you have any respiratory symptoms such as cough, sneeze, runny nose, sore throat, shortness of breath or changed sense of smell? - Have you been a close contact of a possible Covid-19 case or been at a location of interest?
If you answer yes to any of these questions we will need to discuss and plan your care in more detail.
To maintain social distancing we will ask you to stay in your car when you arrive for your appointment. We will come and get you and bring you straight to the dentist or hygienist room. Please wear a mask when you come inside the practice, and remember to Scan-In when you arrive (either at the bottom of the stairs or in the surgery).
Appointment times have been extended to allow our surgeries to have a stand down time for fresh air to be circulated. Both treatment rooms have UV HEPA Air Purification units running continuously.
We will all look a little different with enhanced PPE including: - Disposable gowns - Face shields - N95 Mask protection
For some procedures we will be wearing Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) which offer the greatest protection, yet allow us to work comfortably.
